Mary Ellen Simpson is the nom de plume of Charles O. Goulet. Charles has written many books, most historical novels.
His published works are The Isle of Demons, the true story of Marguerite de LaRocque de Roberval who, in 1542, was marrooned for two years on an isolated island off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.;
The Godmother is also a true story of the Marie Anne Lagimodiere, the first non-native woman to make her home in the Great North West of Canada in the 1800s;
Little Snowbird, is also the story of an extraordinary woman, a Metis, who became the First Lady of the Colony of British Columbia, Canada in the late nineteenth century.
As well, Charles, wrote a contemporary young adult novel, The Divorce, the story of the effects of a divorce on the friendship of two young boys.
His latest historical novel is The Venturers, the story of Pierre and Francoise Marin who come in 1670 as colonist to Port Royal, New France.
